Seven Boards of Skill

Effective date: September 22, 2026
Applies to: the Seven Boards of Skill app for Android (package com.vsgdesign.apps.sevenboardsofskill), published by VSG Design, LLC. Our other apps have their own privacy policies; this page covers this app only.

1. Who we are

Seven Boards of Skill is made by VSG Design, LLC, a company registered in Michigan, USA. If you have any question about this policy, contact us at the address in section 11.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect personal information of any kind. Specifically, the app does not collect or transmit your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, files, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or any record of how you use the app.

The app does not request permission to use the internet. Because of this, it is not able to send data anywhere, and it does not. It contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking software of any kind, and no third-party service receives information from it.

3. What the app stores on your device

The game keeps a single small save file so it can remember where you left off. It contains:

• Your progress — how many figures you have solved at each difficulty, the stars you have earned, your best solve times, and a list of which figures you have already been given so that none is repeated.
• Your settings — sound on or off, volume, your chosen frame style, and whether the daily reminder is on and at what hour.
• Two dates — when you first played and when you last played, which the game uses for features such as streaks and the daily reminder.

This file is stored in the app’s private storage area. Other apps cannot read it, and it never leaves your device except as part of your own device backup (see section 5).

4. Permissions the app asks for, and why

The app asks for only two permissions, both related to the optional daily reminder:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — used only to show a once-a-day reminder at a time you choose. The reminder is off by default. If you turn it on, Android will ask you to allow notifications; you can turn the reminder off at any time in the app’s Settings or in your device’s notification settings.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — used only to re-schedule your reminder after your phone restarts. It does nothing if reminders are off.

The app does not ask for internet, camera, microphone, location, contacts, or storage permissions.

5. Device backups

If you have Android’s built-in device backup turned on, Android may include the game’s save file in the backup it keeps in your Google account, so that your progress can be restored to a new phone. That backup is made and managed by Google under Google’s own terms and privacy policy, not by us. You can control device backup in your phone’s settings.

6. Links to Google Play

The app may show a link to our other apps, or to this app’s own page on Google Play. Nothing opens unless you tap it. When you do, the link opens in the Google Play app or your browser, which are separate apps governed by Google’s privacy policy. We receive no information when you follow a link.

7. Children

Seven Boards of Skill is a general-audience puzzle game. Because the app collects no information from anyone, it collects no information from children. It has no accounts, no chat, no purchases, and no advertising.

8. Your choices and deleting your data

• Reminders — turn on or off at any time in the app’s Settings, or in your device’s notification settings.
• Deleting your data — because everything the app stores is on your device, you can erase it completely by clearing the app’s storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app. There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because we hold nothing.

9. Security

The app transmits nothing, so there is nothing in transit to protect. The save file is kept in the app’s private storage, which Android isolates from other apps.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If a future version of the app adds anything that would change what this page says — for example, advertising or in-app purchases — we will describe it here, and in the app, before it takes effect.
